Squanto

Terms of Service

Effective date: July 2, 2026 · Privacy Policy · Back to the app

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Squanto — the web application at squantohunt.ai and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What Squanto is (and is not)

Squanto is a hunting-focused mapping and planning tool: maps and terrain layers, scouting pins and GPS tracks, weather and thermal visualizations, deer-movement predictions, and AI-generated scouting summaries. It is a planning aid only.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or abuse the Service (including attempts to circumvent usage limits or paywalls).

3. Subscriptions, billing & refunds

Squanto offers a free tier and a paid subscription ("Squanto Pro") billed annually at the price shown at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.

4. Property & parcel data

Parcel boundaries and ownership information are provided by third-party sources (ReportAll USA) and public records. This data can be outdated, misaligned, or incorrect, and must not be relied on to determine legal access. Trespass is a crime; verifying permission is solely your responsibility.

5. AI-generated content

"Scout's read" summaries and movement predictions are generated by machine-learning models from terrain data, weather, and aggregated hunting knowledge. They are probabilistic guesses, not guarantees, and may occasionally be plainly wrong. Use judgment.

6. Your content

You own the pins, tracks, photos, and notes you create. You grant us the limited license needed to store, sync, and display that content back to you (that's what the cloud-sync feature is). We do not sell your content or use your private scouting data to build public datasets. You can export your data at any time (account menu → Export my data) and delete your account entirely (Section 9).

7. Acceptable use

Do not: break the law; use the Service to plan poaching or hunting out of season; harass others; probe, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service; resell access; or attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, or subscription gates.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SQUANTO AND ITS OPERATOR ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, CITATIONS, OR LOSSES ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON MAPS, BOUNDARIES, PREDICTIONS, OR AI CONTENT — AND OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

9. Account deletion

You may delete your account from the account menu at any time. Deletion permanently removes your account, scouting data, usage counters, and subscription records from our systems, and cancels any active subscription (Stripe retains transaction records as required by financial regulations).

10. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify or discontinue features, and may update these Terms. For material changes we will give notice in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [YOUR STATE], USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in [YOUR STATE].
